See the flashing blue light on the Wii? It's time for an update, my friend. This time, the update has two new features: Wii Gifting and Photo Channel update.
With the Wii Gifting feature, you can now buy your favorite pals Wii games and deliver them right to their console. Just in time for the Holiday season. The other new feature is the ability to play an AAC-formatted song along with your slideshow.
WiiFanBoy has a walk-through of how the "gifting" feature works. So, go have a look and spread the joy.

LG BH100's little brother, the BH200, is now available to bring peace yet again to the format war. However, at $999, it is still quite a price for "peace".
Remember the LG BH100? It was the first hi-def player to play Blu-ray and HD-DVD formats. Why, gadgetaholic was even the first site to have a detailed review of this player before anybody else. The lack of iHD support was the main reason we didn't completely fall in love with it.
Now, with the BH200, LG has done its homework and offers a full iHD support with it. Not only that, it will now output 1080p regardless of the format. Add to that Qdeo upscaling technology and HDMI 1.3 with deep color. Now, that's a true cross-format player.
We can only hope that we can review the BH200 before anybody else like we did the BH100. But that depends highly on its availability. Keeping our fingers crossed.

What a no brainer for HD buffs. Sim2 Domino 80E (E=Evolution) projector offers features like 1080p output, HDMI input, 3 custom user aspect ratios, a 40% more brightness, 40% higher contrast, and 43% more color improvement in dark scenes over the previous models.
What is unique to the 80E is its Unishape (Universal Shaped Lamp Light) technology. With this technology, a modulating lamp is used to shape the light output on "millisecond time scales" in sync with the DMD chip and color wheel.
With pricing starts at AUS$10,000, you better start rethinking plans for that used car.

You've seen them; they're everywhere. From produce to projectors, from iriver to iPod, there is no escaping the barcode. Without the world as we know it would cease to function. The barcode's versatility is unmatched.
Now, get ready for "Barcode 2.0: now in technicolor". The concept is simple: you can only store so much using black and white so why not use color to embed more information.
Rein, a student at the Working Tomorrow graduation program demonstrates that this technology is not only possible in the near future but its usage will be endless. With being able to embed more information into the color barcode, it is possible to put things like ringtones or a simple application right inside a barcode off a poster from a bus stop, for example.

Not satisfied with justa puny 52" LCD screen or a 72" DLP screen? Here's a solution: get yourself a LCD projector and blow your movies up big. Not just big; really big - 100" to be exact. BenQ eStore is running a promotion to give away either a 84" or a 100" screen with a purchase of a BenQ projector.
Hurry because the promotion ends today.

The much-hyped iriver W7 digital media player is now on sale in Korea. Those lucky Koreans!!! We Americans are always the last to get these nice PMPs. Even more reason to pack up and move to Korea.
The W7 specs don't disappoint. It packs a 480x272 WQVGA LCD (260k color), a sexy jog button, USB 2.0 support, SRS WOW HD support, 7-band EQ, supports MP3 and WMA for audio and MPEG-4, WMV9 and H.264 at 30fps. And don't forget a CSD viewer for viewing those Korean comics. It comes in either 4GB or 8GB capacity and in either Violet or White.
Only if we could get our hands on one of these...

As some of you may have heard from sites like Engadget and Gizmodo, Cowon has made a commitment to bring the update version of the powerful A2, the Cowon A3, to the US around mid-December.
Though not as full-featured as the Q5W, the A3 is the player to have if you are looking for a solid PMP sans WiFi and Bluetooth like on the Q5W. It also packs other features that the Q5W doesn't have like a 10-band equalizer, video in support and 720p HD video output.
And you know which web site is going to be one of the first to review this bad boy. Hey, that was a trick question.

Have you been longing to buy an iPhone but just don't want to join the "snobbish" Apple crowd? You don't have to buy one after all. The long-awaited Sony Ericsson W960i is now available in the US. You should be able to buy this phone unlocked from the SonyStyle web site within a few days. No words yet on which major carriers made deals with Sony Ericsson to carry this phone.
So why get this phone rather than an iPhone? Well, it is first and foremost a Walkman phone, which means it not only answers calls but also rocks as an MP3 player. Its music features include an 8GB Walkman player (which plays MP3 and AAC), FM radio, MegaBass and TrackID, a music identification service that helps you identify the song name, artist and album of the song. Other features include a 3.2MP camera for photos and videos, a web browser, video calling, email client and handwriting recoginition for text input.

The Cowon Q5W is here at last: almost a year after its debut at CES '07
back in January. The product has been available in Korea since May
under the Q5 name. Though the company was rumored to be releasing the
product in the US in the 2nd quarter of this year, it didn't show up
until the end of November.
With its sexy form factor, an enormous 5” touch screen LCD, wireless
support for both WiFi and bluetooth, a 40/60GB hard disk storage, and a
long list of support for video/audio formats and codecs, it is hard to
resist the lure of the Q5W. Oh, and not to mention its optional GPS
support coming in a few weeks. The only thing that might take
attention away from this player might be the reigning “king” of the PMP
market called the Archos 605 WiFi. There is little doubt that Cowon is
positioning this player to take down the reign of 605.
Can the Q5W snatch the crown away from Archos 605 WiFi? Read on.
