You live for the fast-paced always-connected environment so why not get a phone to match your lifestyle too.  Good news is that you already have your work cut out for you because c|net has already compiled a list of phones you should consider.

It seems like LG takes the cake here since it dominates the list with fast performers like the Chocolate, the Muziq, and the CU500V.  My personal favorite is also on the list:  the Helio Ocean.   Each of the phones receives a rating of 8.0 or higher so you can't go wrong with any of these.

A review of the new Canon IXUS 950 IS (man, that's long) is now ready at Awakenings.co.uk.  Apparently, they are very impressed with the camera's optical image stabilization.  The review says that you should "see the benefits immediately."  They are also impressed with the camera's outstanding face recognition system that should put "other cameras to same."

If you are in the market for a compact 8+ mega-pixel camera for a reasonable price, be sure to check this one out.

For those who don't need the 5mp camera on the upcoming Sony Ericsson K850i, and want to stay away from the iPhone, you might want to check out the K770, which is due in Q4 of this year.

Dressed with a 3.2 mp cyber-shot camera, LED photo light, a 1.9" QVGA screen, and many other camera-like features, this phone continues the K-series DNA line and hold its own very well.  Even if you are not interested in the camera features of this phone, other features like stereo bluetooth support, FM receiver, and PC-free photo-fixing software should be enough to convince you to get your hands on it when it becomes available.

two_imacs.pngWith so many good reviews of the new iMac out there, we decided that not to do our own review. This is because it's probably going to end up like the others anyway.

With that in mind, we have compiled a list of iMac reviews for you to read and decide for yourself if it's worth a look.

PS. Still don't like the keyboard...

We're sure that Christina Aguillera wasn't singing about this guy when she sang "Genie in a bottle". But if you rub this "guy" the right way, you might be granted your 3 wishes. Given your 3 wishes are wine, more wine and even more wine.

This ingenious bottle stopper takes the term "genie in the bottle" literally, taking its shape as the green guy guarding your prized wine.

Available from PerpetualKid.com at $15.99, you can have your very own genie, too.

How do you define beauty? NV.

We are suckers for good-looking gadgets. And the just-announced iRiver NV media player fits that perfectly. With a metallic body, 7" screen and an oversized navigational knob, it is sexy to the core.

Running Windows CE 5.0 on a dual-core processor, it is definitely not your mother's media player. The player handles the usual array of media formats like mp3, ogg, wma, etc. Don't have any file to play? Don't worry the NV is also equipped with DMB technology for you to receive TV signals over the air. Top that with a GPS receiver and a 1.3 mega pixel camera; it is truly your ultimate gadget dream comes true.

The ONLY downside to this player? It is only available in Korea. Cry

MP3/CD Player Concept

mp3_turned_cd_player.png

Don't get all excited at the picture yet.  But Jong Song Kima has come up with a pretty neat concept:  an MP3 player that can turn into a CD player using just one hand motion.

Looking like a hand excerciser, the MP3 player concept would act just like an ordinary media player.  However, when there is a need to play a CD, the player opens up like a letter "V" to play a CD.

Neat concept.  However, it might not be very practical as you will expose a CD to the elements.  And not to mention the risk of injuring somebody with a spinning CD.

Open letter to Steve Jobs regarding the Apple TV

appletv_steve.png If you develop software for the IPhone, you are known as "developers." But if you develop software for the Apple TV, you're automatically called "hackers." This is because there is no official software development kit for the Apple TV.

With a devlopment kit, new applications can be easily developed for the Apple TV to expand on its functionality. Imagine new games, new file format support, or even a web browser for it. Having a hardware development kit will open it up even further, allowing manufacturers to develop accessories for the Apple TV.

An open letter to Steve Jobs has been drawn up by the AppleTVHacks.net team to address this very problem. Please support the team by digging the article.

Wind-up Media Player - perfect for your earthquake kit

Water pouches. Checked. Energy bars. Checked. Candles. Checked. Wind-up media player. What?

Who cares about iPods when you have other important things to worry about. In times like these, what you need is Trevor Baylis Eco Media Player. Yes, the same guy who invented the wind-up radio 16 years ago is at it again.

Baylis' latest invention sports a 1.8" LCD, an FM radio, a voice recorder and a LED flashlight. At the back of the device, you'd find a crank to wind it up. One minute at the crank and you get up to 40 minutes of play time. Not bad, eh. Don't feel like winding? Just plug it into a USB port and you get 20 hours of use at full charge.

At $350, it is not cheap, given that it only comes with 2gb of memory. But if an earthquake hits, would you rather have this or your soon-to-run-out-of-battery iPod?
