It looks almost like its predecessor, the iAudio 6. The big selling point for the updated version is the 60-hour battery life, in which we'll definitely be testing. Just wait a few more days. Update: The review is ready. Check it out here

The menus are dead sexy ... don't know what you guys are on. If you're not impressed by the pics, go watch some of the video reviews of the iaudio6 and you'll see how slick the 'swing touch' is. As far as efficiency and intuitive design, I'd only put it behind the iPod click wheel, which grandmas can figure out. Anyway, 8 gigs of whatever-the-hell-you-want and 60 hours of playback in an unskippable, jog-with-it-in-your-pocket size player is Christmas. As for specs, I believe *every* cowon player is drag and drop (linux, mac, and windows) but I don't think any of them do gapless. :/ And from what I hear, this one doesn't play playlist files at the moment. Regardless, this is next on my shopping list. |

Just wanted to chime in with a few requests. When you review the unit, please touch on the following: Does the unit display album art embedded in ID3 tags? If so, does it have problems with album art larger than 200 x 200 px? (The Insignia NS-DVxG does.) Can the unit use m3u playlists? How gym/workout friendly is the unit? Does the unit come with an armband? If not, any ideas where one can be purchased? I read the Cnet.uk review, it was pretty light on details. |

John Doe, I was just trying to find out why some embedded images weren't appearing on my new iAudio 7 when I found this page. It appears that the embedded album art image size (pixel dimensions) limit (for jpg inside the mp3) on the iAudio 7 is currently 350 x 350 pixels (This is for the current firmware 1.13). The file size of the embedded jpg doesn't seem to matter, I tested up to 144KB (using 350 x 350 pixels) and that works, however it will slow down the loading of the album art if you choose to use poorly compressed jpgs embedded into the mp3 file. |

Mr. UPS just came by. I unboxed it and took some photos. The review is coming in a few days. In the mean time, just enjoy the photos.
